Two and a half years since the launch of the Junker Plan, the event "Investments, Financial Instruments and Growth - Enabling Public and Private sectors to benefit from the opportunities offered by the European Union"
aims at introducing the impacts as appraised so far, while suggesting both public and private investors how to properly exploit the financial capacity offered by the European Union, matching effectively projects, entrepreneurship, and financial instruments.
The event goes beyond the instruments connected to the EFSI, as it includes and considers others supported or financed through, among the others, H2020, LIFE, and CEF programs, along with possible synergies or blending. Furthermore, it focuses on investments in terms of adaptation to climate change, energy efficiency, infrastructure and transport systems, sustainable mobility and logistics, innovation, support to SME.
The meeting is structured along two round tables:
- he first one has an institutional character, and it is dedicated to the EU policies and financial instruments supporting growth and employment
- the second round table is dedicated to projects, investments, and practical cases.
Speakers representing public and private entities will tell their (success) stories to the audience, stimulating the discussion on how to access to these financial instruments, how to combine them together with other sources of finance and funds, or to access to risk capital.
The event will take place in Brussels at the European Parliament, Altiero Spinelli Bulding, room PHS 07C050, on Tuesday, July 11th from 9:00 AM to 13:00. Program and directions are attached to this message.
